About Studio Kathryn Larsen
Studio Kathryn Larsen is an architecture practice for community-led regeneration.
Founded in 2019, we work at the intersection of architecture, ecology and culture to help communities shape the places they care about. Our projects combine design, artistic research, teaching, publishing and ecological restoration as tools for creating lasting change.
From restoring historic buildings and developing third places to designing biodiversity infrastructure and experimenting with biobased materials, we believe architecture extends far beyond the construction of buildings. It is a long-term practice of stewardship: listening carefully, building collaboratively and remaining engaged as places continue to evolve.
Working from Copenhagen and rural Denmark, we partner with communities, municipalities and cultural institutions to deliver projects that are locally rooted, environmentally ambitious and designed to endure.
